The investigation into C. G. and G. Ö., who were detained and arrested after it was determined that they had illegally demanded money from patients while working at Üsküdar State Hospital, has been completed. It was determined that two doctors working at Üsküdar State Hospital had illegally demanded money from patients.

According to the information obtained, it was determined that doctors C. G. and G. Ö. demanded additional fees from patients for surgical procedures.

The suspects were detained on charges of bribery. It was learned that some patients who were asked to pay the fees did not accept them and subsequently reported the doctors to CİMER (the Presidential Communication Center), and some officials at the hospital reported the situation to the police.

TWO DOCTORS FOUND TO HAVE ACCEPTED BRIBES FOR SURGERIES

As part of the investigation initiated upon the complaints, it was determined that two individuals working as urologists had accepted bribes from patients for surgeries.

The suspect doctor G. Ö. It was determined that one doctor, G. Ö., received bribes ranging from 20,000 to 30,000 TL from his patients, while the other doctor, C. G., received bribes ranging from 1,200 to 1,400 dollars.

The investigation conducted by the Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office against the doctors has been completed. The indictment prepared requests prison sentences of 4 to 12 years for each of the two doctors separately.

ONE ACCEPTED, THE OTHER DENIED

In his defense, Doctor G. Ö. stated that he did not accept the accusations and that no materials obtained from outside were used in surgeries performed within the hospital.

Dr. C. G., during his detention, stated that when he considered his past, what he did was unethical and immoral, and that he demanded the money not because he lacked sufficient funds, but out of greed.
