Electric heater fire Mother and baby affected by smoke

In Samsun, a mother and her 6-month-old baby were hospitalized after being affected by smoke from a fire caused by an electric heater in their home. The flames were extinguished by firefighters before they could spread.

The fire broke out yesterday around 9 PM in a house in the Fevzi Çakmak neighborhood of İlkadım district in Samsun.

According to DHA, an electric heater in the children's room caught fire for an unknown reason. The flames spread to the carpet and beds.

MOTHER AND BABY TAKEN FOR TREATMENT

Upon notification, police, medical, and fire teams were dispatched to the address. Firefighters rescued the mother, B.B. (30), and her 6-month-old daughter from the house and handed them over to medical teams.

The mother and baby were taken to the hospital for treatment after initial medical intervention. The fire was extinguished by the fire department before it could spread further. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
