It underwent a cesarean section. The dead kitten was removed, and the cat gave birth to three healthy kittens. The mother and kittens are reported to be in good condition. Veterinarian Osman Yırtımcı noted that such birth defects are more common in 'Scottish' cats. The cat, brought to the clinic by Mustafa Öz, who lives in Dumlupınar neighborhood, was found to have a dead fetus stuck in its birth canal, preventing it from giving birth. The cat, whose life was in danger, underwent surgery. While three kittens were successfully born via cesarean section, the other kitten, identified as having two heads, was stillborn. The mother cat was also spayed during the surgery. "As a veterinarian, this is the first time I've encountered such a case." "Disabled births are common in Scottish breeds," Yırtımcı noted, adding, "This breed is very different from the normal cats we know. These cats of Scottish origin have genetic problems. We don't want such cats to be owned or bred. Breeding and selling these types of cats is prohibited in most countries."
