New Limits for Vehicle Purchases by Disabled Individuals Announced, Discounts on Earthquake Housing! Massive Package in Effect

With the new omnibus law, the upper limit for disabled citizens to purchase vehicles without Special Consumption Tax (ÖTV) has been updated to 2,873,900 TL. Critical regulations such as a 74% discount for those paying their earthquake housing loan in cash and an increase in the daily meal allowance exemption for employees to 300 TL have been published in the Official Gazette. The law also increased the fee for paid military service to 417,000 TL.

Law No. 7577, signed by President Erdoğan, contains significant changes that particularly affect disabled citizens, earthquake victims, and employees.

LIMITS FOR VEHICLE PURCHASES BY DISABLED INDIVIDUALS CLARIFIED

According to the article, which was revised after the Constitutional Court's previous annulment decision, the value limit to be applied to vehicle purchases with ÖTV exemption for disabled citizens has been updated. Vehicles with a total price not exceeding 2,873,900 TL (including taxes) can now be purchased with tax advantages based on the disability status. Additionally, vans and similar vehicles with engine capacities not exceeding 2,800 cm³, as well as motorcycles, are also included in this scope.

WHO CAN BENEFIT?

The gap created after the Constitutional Court (AYM) annulled the requirement of "personally driving the vehicle" for those with disabilities below 90% has been filled with a new framework through a law passed in Parliament.
