Meat milk and egg production is growing in the Kaliningrad region

In the Kaliningrad region, livestock and poultry production for slaughter across all farm categories in January-February amounted to 24,300 tons of live weight. This is 9% more than the same period in 2025, according to Kaliningradstat .

Milk production totaled 37,600 tons (an increase of 0.1%), and eggs totaled 52.3 million. This is 8.3% more than the 2025 target.

At the end of February, the livestock numbers in farms of all categories were:

cattle - 154.2 thousand heads (+4.9%);
pigs - 370.3 thousand heads (+3.1%);
poultry - 3.5 million heads (+12.1%);
sheep and goats - 63.8 thousand heads (+5.0%).
