Osman Kavun's family, who had not heard from him since he left his home, went to the Afşin Tanır Gendarmerie Station yesterday and filed a missing person report. Acting on the report, the teams determined that Osman Kavun was last seen with Mutib El Hüseyin (20), a Syrian national, in the Kavşut neighborhood of Göksun.

Following this, Mutib El Hüseyin was taken into custody by the gendarmerie teams. In his statement, Hüseyin confessed that he stabbed Osman Kavun to death under the influence of alcohol, and then buried him with A.Y. (17) confessed that he buried the body in an empty plot of land in the Kışla neighborhood of Elbistan. Mutib El Hüseyin was taken to the Kışla neighborhood, where Osman Kavun's body was found at the location he indicated to the gendarmerie teams.

Following an examination at the scene, Kavun's body was taken to the hospital morgue for autopsy, and the knife used in the incident was also recovered. Following Mutib El Hüseyin's statement, A.Y. was also taken into custody by the teams. It was stated that the suspects would be referred to the courthouse after the completion of their interrogations.
