AN INTERESTING FLOWER THEFT CAUGHT ON SECURITY CAMERA

In Akşehir district of Konya, potted flowers in front of a business on İstasyon Street were uprooted and stolen by an unidentified person in the middle of the night. The incident, captured on security camera footage, prompted the business owner, Kaan Elverişli, to express his outrage, saying, "It's not about the flowers; if he had come and asked, we would have given them to him. This is shameful."

Konya witnessed a rather unusual theft. Potted flowers in front of a business operating on İstasyon Street in Akşehir district were stolen by an as-yet-unidentified person during the night. The incident, which occurred around 10:30 PM yesterday, surprised local shopkeepers and highlighted the importance of street safety.

The moment of the theft was recorded by security cameras overlooking the business. The footage shows the suspect arriving in front of the business and first checking to see if anyone was around. Approximately five minutes later, the individual returned to the scene with a bag in hand, uprooted the plants from the pots, quickly stuffed them into the bag, and silently walked away down the street.

Shopkeepers in Konya expressed their astonishment and outrage after the incident.
Kaan Elverişli, the shop owner, noticed the empty pots when he arrived at his workplace in the morning and, after reviewing the security camera footage, was greatly surprised by what he saw. Expressing his dismay at this bizarre incident, Elverişli stated that he was more upset by the motive behind the act than the financial aspect, and that such behavior undermines social trust.

Speaking after carefully reviewing the security camera footage, the shop owner pointed out that the individual acted deliberately. Elverişli said, "The man comes first, looks around. Five minutes later, he comes back with a bag and uproots the plants. It's not really about flowers; it's hard to understand how people can stoop so low. Would we refuse to give him even a blade of grass if he asked? It's truly shameful and sinful," expressing his reaction to the incident. It has been learned that local shopkeepers have also increased their own precautions against similar incidents following the event.
