Completely covered in mud themselves, the teams paused their work and carefully washed the flag. After being completely free of mud, the Turkish flag was then hoisted on a pole in the area. These moments were captured on the cell phone cameras of nearby citizens, evoking emotional scenes for viewers. Evacuation Continues in Flood-Affected Neighborhood Bahçelievler Neighborhood Headman Bülent Çalışkan, assessing the extent of the disaster and the current situation in the region, stated that approximately 45 houses in the neighborhood suffered serious damage due to the flood. He noted that their greatest consolation was the absence of casualties, emphasizing that the state, with all its institutions and security forces, is on the ground supporting the citizens. Village Headman Thanks Rescue Teams Stating that everyone is working together to rebuild the Havza district, Çalışkan drew attention to the selfless efforts of the security forces in the field. Village Headman Çalışkan said, "I saw our gendarmerie forces washing and cleaning the flag that had fallen into the mud during the cleanup, and I cannot express how moved I was by this sensitivity. On behalf of myself and my village, I thank all the aid teams, especially the gendarmerie, who stood by us during this disaster." |
