TWO ARRESTED AFTER ATTACK ON POLICE OFFICERS FOLLOWING TRAFFIC ACCIDENT IN FAMAGUSTA

Following a traffic accident in Famagusta, two individuals attacked police officers during an argument.

The individuals have been arrested.

According to information provided by the Police Press Office, at approximately 10:30 PM yesterday, following a traffic accident on Hasan Barbaçolli Street in Famagusta, an argument ensued between A.K. (female, 26) and Z.K. (male, 61) and N.S. (male, 23). During the argument, A.K. punched and assaulted a police officer who had come to investigate the accident, preventing him from performing his duty and damaging his glasses.

Z.K. also assaulted a police officer who intervened by pushing him, preventing him from performing his duty.

A.K. and Z.K. have been arrested.

The police investigation continues.
