Passenger bus plunges into ravine 4 people killed

In Doğanşehir district of Malatya, a passenger bus plunged into a ravine, resulting in the deaths of 4 people and injuries to 15 others, according to initial reports.

The accident occurred on the Malatya-Adıyaman highway when a passenger bus belonging to Muş Yolu Turizm, with license plate 34 FB 5349, overturned into a ravine in the Polatdere neighborhood.

Police, gendarmerie, medical, and fire teams were dispatched to the scene. Initial reports indicate that 4 people died and 15 were injured in the accident.

STATEMENT FROM THE GOVERNOR OF MALATYA

Malatya Governor Seddar Yavuz stated that upon learning of a passenger bus accident in the Doğanşehir district while traveling from Malatya towards Adıyaman, security forces, gendarmerie, health teams, AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority), fire brigade, and other teams were swiftly dispatched to the scene under the coordination of the Governorship.

Yavuz added, "Rescue efforts are ongoing, and further information will be provided later. I extend my best wishes for a speedy recovery."
