The motorcyclist who did not stop when he saw the police died in the accident

In the Köyceğiz district of MUĞLA, the motorcycle driven by Efe Can Bayram (17), who did not obey the police's "Stop" warning, collided with the motorcycle driven by a police officer from the motorized team during the pursuit.

Bayram, who was thrown onto the road from the overturned motorcycle, lost his life, while the police officer was slightly injured. The accident occurred at 09:00 on the Köyceğiz - Fethiye highway near Beyobası Neighborhood. Allegedly, police teams gave a "Stop" warning to Efe Can Bayram, the motorcycle driver who was said to be without a helmet and without a driver's license.

Bayram, who fled from the checkpoint, was pursued by police officer Ebubekir Serin (41), who was on duty at the Gökova Regional Traffic Command, on his motorcycle with the registration number 48 A 0274. During the pursuit, the two motorcycles collided and overturned.

Bayram, who was seriously injured in the accident, which the police officer escaped with minor injuries, could not be saved despite the doctors' efforts at Ortaca State Hospital. Police officer Serin, who sustained minor injuries, was treated as an outpatient at the same hospital. An investigation into the accident has been launched.
