Three people died in a chain-reaction car accident

A chain-reaction traffic accident involving three cars in Birecik district of Şanlıurfa resulted in 3 deaths and 5 injuries.

The accident occurred around 4:00 PM in Günışığı neighborhood. Three cars, whose drivers and license plates have not yet been identified, were involved in a chain-reaction collision. Eight people were injured in the accident, which left the vehicles severely damaged. Following reports from other drivers passing by, medical, fire, and security teams were dispatched to the scene.

3 PEOPLE LOST THEIR LIVES

The injured were taken to Birecik State Hospital by ambulance. Despite the doctors' best efforts, Ebru Demir (25), Mahmut Kılıç (55), and an unidentified woman among the injured could not be saved. The bodies of the three deceased were placed in the same hospital morgue for autopsy.

INJURED TAKEN TO HOSPITAL

It was reported that the injured, Ayşegül Baydilli (23), Ebru Demir (22), İbrahim Halil Yılmaz (30), İda Demir (50) and one person whose name could not be learned, are receiving treatment in the hospital. Traffic flow, which was temporarily restricted to a single lane due to the accident, returned to normal after the vehicles were removed. An investigation into the accident has been launched.
