The anxious hours that began with the child's disappearance mobilized everyone

Hours of anxiety began in Diyarbakır with the disappearance of a young child, mobilizing the entire city. From security forces and search and rescue teams to villagers and family members, everyone united to find little Yazgül. As time passed, the growing unease gave way to great relief and joy with the arrival of good news. Yazgül was found sleeping 3 kilometers from her home.

The disappearance in Diyarbakır, which kept everyone on edge for hours, ended with a development that allowed everyone to breathe a sigh of relief. A massive search operation was launched for 2.5-year-old Yazgül Kaya, who disappeared in Tokluca village in the Bağlar district; teams and villagers raced against time.

Upon not hearing from the little girl, the family immediately reported the situation to the authorities. Following the report, 112 Emergency Medical Services, gendarmerie, fire department, and AFAD (Disaster and Emergency Management Authority) teams were dispatched to the area. Extensive search efforts were quickly initiated.

Teams meticulously checked the water canals, fields, and surrounding vacant lots in the area. Villagers also joined the search, racing against time. As the minutes passed, anxiety grew.

GOOD NEWS CAME FROM THE UNCLE

After hours of searching, the good news came from the family. Little Yazgül was found asleep in a vacant lot about 3 kilometers from her home. Yazgül K.'s uncle, Mehmet Cevher K., said, “She disappeared around noon. While her mother was working inside, the child was playing outside with her siblings. She noticed the child was missing and started searching. When she couldn't find her, she called her father. Her father is a construction worker in Hatay. He informed us that the child was missing. I called the authorities. Her siblings hadn't noticed either.”

How the little girl got so far from home became a subject of debate.

The little girl, who was checked in the ambulance by the medical teams waiting at the scene, was found to be in good health. It was stated that Yazgül, who received initial treatment as a precaution, did not experience any adverse effects.
