A significant development has occurred in the investigation into the murder of Atlas Çağlayan in Güngören. A public prosecution has been initiated against Yusuf Ç., the father of the juvenile suspect E.Ç., regarding the knife used in the crime.

INDICTMENT PREPARED

The indictment, prepared by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office as part of the investigation, includes important findings regarding the knife used in the murder.

ALLEGATION THAT THE KNIFE BELONGED TO THE FATHER

According to a witness statement included in the indictment, it is alleged that the knife used in the incident, which bears the inscription "Browning," belonged to Yusuf Ç. The report from the Istanbul Regional Criminal Police Laboratory states that the knife falls under the scope of Law No. 6136.

FATHER DENIES CHARGES

In his defense, Yusuf Ç. stated that he did not accept the charges. He indicated that he was in prison at the time of the incident, that the knife did not belong to him, and that he had no knowledge of the incident.

SENTENCE REQUESTED

In the indictment prepared, a prison sentence of 6 months to 1 year was requested for Yusuf Ç. for the crime of "Violation of the Law on Firearms, Knives and Other Weapons".
