269,000 book lovers visited the Book Fair in the first 3 days

Organized for the 8th time by Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and once again attracting great interest from book lovers, the Kayseri Book Fair hosted 269,000 visitors in its first three days. Book lovers, who had the opportunity to meet 518 publishing houses, approximately 500 authors, and over 3 million books, expressed their gratitude to Mayor Büyükkılıç and Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality for this now traditional event.

While Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Memduh Büyükkılıç continues his efforts to make Kayseri a city that reads and promotes education, the 8th Kayseri Book Fair, which has become a tradition, opened its doors to visitors at the World Trade Center.

Organized by the Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality and breaking visitor records, the 8th Kayseri Book Fair opened its doors to book lovers on Friday, April 17th, with 518 publishing houses, approximately 500 authors, and over 3 million books. The fair was met with intense interest from the very first day. 41,322 people visited the fair on the first day, 84,089 on the second day, and 143,661 on the third day, demonstrating continued interest. The 8th Kayseri Book Fair reached a total of 269,072 visitors in its first three days.

Book lovers visiting the 8th Kayseri Book Fair are enjoying the pleasure of attending author talks and conferences and getting autographs from their favorite authors. Bookworms, who are experiencing the ease of access to 518 publishing houses, approximately 500 authors, and over 3 million books, expressed their gratitude to the Metropolitan Municipality for the fair, which has become a tradition.

The organization, which has seen steady growth since its first fair, started its journey with 582,000 visitors and continued with hundreds of thousands of participants in subsequent years. Reaching 1,039,093 visitors at the 6th fair and 1,085,214 at the 7th, the event is expected to attract significant interest again this year.

The Fair Encompasses April 23rd and World Book Day

The fair, with its schedule encompassing April 23rd National Sovereignty and Children's Day and World Book Day, holds special significance, especially for children and young people. The program includes talks, panels, and autograph sessions, offering visitors a rich program.

Free Transportation

Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality is providing transportation support to facilitate access to the fair. Bus line 691 of Ulaşım A.Ş. (Transportation Inc.) will provide free service throughout the fair, with departures every half hour from the Cumhuriyet Meydanı Orduevi stop. Return trips will also be at the same intervals.

Direct Communication Point for Citizens

The Metropolitan Municipality's Alo 153 Communication Center and White Desk teams are also present at the stands set up in the fairgrounds. These teams listen to citizens' requests and suggestions, providing a direct communication opportunity.

Kayseri will once again connect with books at the 8th Book Fair, which will continue to welcome visitors until April 26th.
