After observing the fight for a while, the man began shooting at one of the dogs. The dog, writhing in pain and trying to escape, was hit by multiple pellets and collapsed after running a few meters.

The unidentified man then drove away in his car. Residents who heard the gunshots came out into the street and found the dog dead. After the incident was reported to the 112 Emergency Call Center, Gendarmerie teams arrived at the scene and, after reviewing security camera footage, determined that the person who killed the dog with a shotgun and then left the scene was Tolga T. Tolga T. was quickly apprehended by the Gendarmerie teams along with the shotgun used in the incident. Following questioning, he was referred to the courthouse.
