Heavy rainfall that began yesterday evening in the Kurtalan district of Siirt caused flooding. Vehicles were lost in the floodwaters, and dozens of animals perished. According to initial reports, approximately 45 small livestock animals died as a result of the flooding caused by the heavy rainfall in the Kurtalan district of Siirt. In addition, hundreds of turkeys and chickens were swept away and damaged by the floodwaters. Farmers moved their animals to the roofs of their houses to protect them from the flood. It was learned that dozens of vehicles parked and on the road in the affected areas were swept away by the water, and some vehicles were damaged by being dragged along. Teams started working in the region from the morning hours, and damage assessment studies are ongoing.
