Library Week in Karaman concluded at the prison

In Karaman, the 62nd Library Week, celebrated this year, concluded with programs held in prisons following city-wide events.

As part of Library Week, the "Healing Library" themed project, a collaboration between the Ministry of Justice and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, was also implemented in Karaman. Within this framework, cultural events were organized in both open and closed prisons by personnel from the Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, along with our newspaper's columnist İsmet Öztürk and librarian Harun Karaca.

The events included presentations on reading awareness, library orientation, and the history and stories of Karaman for the inmates. The programs were well-received by the participants.

The week-long events in Karaman concluded with these prison programs. Officials emphasized the importance of maintaining connections with libraries to promote reading habits.

The Millet Bahçesi Baby and Children's Library, the Pancar Kavşağı Children's Library, the Piri Reis Cultural Center reading room, and the Provincial Public Library continue to serve citizens in the city.
