Suspicious death: A body was found in the forest

A shepherd in the Akçay neighborhood of İskenderun district in Hatay province discovered a body in a wooded area and reported it to the gendarmerie.

Gendarmerie Crime Investigation Team (JASAT) arrived at the scene and, following fingerprint analysis, identified the body as that of 33-year-old Osman Zont.

Zont's body, found with gunshot wounds, was taken to the Forensic Medicine Institute morgue for autopsy.

The investigation into the incident continues.
