Four kittens born in the engine compartment of a car were rescued

Four newborn kittens were rescued by firefighters in the engine compartment of a light commercial vehicle in Kızıltepe district of Mardin.

The incident occurred last night in the rural Çınarcık neighborhood of Kızıltepe district. The driver of the light commercial vehicle with license plate 34 GIL 725 heard cat sounds coming from the engine compartment and, unable to remove the animals himself, notified the fire department. Firefighters arrived at the scene and towed the vehicle to a canal in the auto repair shop. After removing the underbody protection sheet, they found four newborn kittens. The kittens were safely returned to their mother.
