
Master painters came together at the Friendship and Peace exhibition ![]() Master painters came together at the Friendship and Peace exhibitionThe "Friendship and Peace" exhibition, inspired by the more than 60-year friendship between two masters of Turkish painting, Devrim Erbil and İsmet Yedikardeş, opened to art lovers at the Beylikdüzü Atatürk Culture and Art Center Galeri Bedri Rahmi Exhibition Hall. Opening its doors on World Art Day, the exhibition draws attention to the common language of art that brings together different generations and cultures, while aiming to remind us of the importance of friendship, dialogue, and peace through art. Speaking at the opening, which master artist Devrim Erbil could not attend due to illness, İsmet Yedikardeş said that the exhibition is a reflection of their friendship spanning over 60 years. Regarding Erbil's importance to Turkish painting, Yedikardeş said, "Unfortunately, he is not with us today. But his wonderful paintings depicting Istanbul are here. I am very happy that your long-standing friendship with Devrim Erbil has been crowned with such an exhibition." |
