Eugene K. Antwi, 26, admitted to placing more than 200 online orders at Fine Wine and Good Spirits locations in 21 counties using false identities or payment methods that weren't his, according to Sunday. After placing an order, Antwi would go and pick up the order, which typically consisted of high-end liquor, Sunday said. The scheme, which took place between Aug. 2023 and Sept. 2024, stole more than $66,000 in liquor, according to Sunday. Antwi was sentenced four to 23 months in prison for the scheme, which will be followed by two years probation, Sunday said. Antwi will also have to pay $66,000 in restitution. “This defendant crossed the Commonwealth to perpetrate a criminal scheme stealing from unsuspecting Pennsylvanians and defrauding the Liquor Control Board,” Sunday said. “Collaboration between law enforcement, and diligent work from the grand jurors, unraveled a wide-ranging spree of conduct.” |
