Experts point out that this rate is 11 points lower than last year and call for water conservation due to the increasing population and water losses. HIGHEST FILLING RATE IN ELMALI Water quantity; Water occupancy rates were recorded as follows: Istrancalar 76.36%, Terkos 56.12%, Sazlıdere 45.36%, Alibey 67.56%, Büyükçekmece 56.47%, Ömerli 92.37%, Darlık 86.11%, Elmalı 92.54%, Pabuçdere 57.99%, and Kazandere 62.10%. While 267.28 million cubic meters of water were taken from Melen and Yeşilçay this year, the amount of water supplied to the city from drinking water treatment plants was calculated as 300 million 47 thousand cubic meters. The amount of rainfall that fell on the dams this year was 389.88 kilograms per square meter. The dams and reservoirs supplying water to the city have a storage capacity of 868,683,000 cubic meters, while the amount of water recorded as of today is 606.19 million cubic meters. DAILY WATER CONSUMPTION: 2,925,000 CUBIC METERS Daily water consumption in Istanbul was measured at 2,925,000 cubic meters as of yesterday, with 595,000 cubic meters supplied from dams and 2,330,000 cubic meters from the Melen and Yeşilçay regulators. According to İSKİ (Istanbul Water and Sewerage Administration) statistics, the dam fill rates as of April 11th were 87.02% in 2016, 87.70% in 2017, 91.30% in 2018, 92.77% in 2019, 70.35% in 2020, 79.80% in 2021, 88.44% in 2022, 41.93% in 2023, 81.62% in 2024, and 82.01% in 2025, while today's rate is 70.05%. |
