Man dies after falling from ride at amusement park

Sedat Çoktaş, 29, who was seriously injured after falling from the "Zero Gravity" ride at an amusement park in Edirne, died in the hospital where he was taken in critical condition.

Employees at the amusement park located between the Tunca and Meriç bridges on Lozan Street in Edirne saw a person fall from the "Zero Gravity" ride in the evening.

Police and medical teams were dispatched to the amusement park following a report. Sedat Çoktaş (29), who was found to be seriously injured, was taken to Trakya University Faculty of Medicine Hospital by ambulance after initial treatment. According to DHA news agency, Çoktaş could not be saved despite all efforts.

Police teams investigated whether the necessary precautions were taken at the amusement park where Sedat Çoktaş had the accident. The amusement park owner and 5 employees were taken to the police station for questioning. An investigation into the incident has been launched.
