IGDAŞ teams conducting excavation work on 1st Güven Street in Akşemsettin Neighborhood found ammunition buried underground. Police teams were dispatched to the scene after a report was received.

Teams who took security measures in the area conducted an examination at the scene for a while and then secured the ammunition, which is believed to be a mortar shell. Neighborhood resident Çetin Uzun said that during the natural gas work, the IGDAŞ teams came across a metal piece and became suspicious. Uzun stated, "It resembled a bomb. Therefore, they notified the police. They said it was an explosive similar to a very old mortar shell. The bomb disposal team arrived, destroyed it, and took it away. So far, no negative incidents have occurred."
