It wasn't a cat, it was a human who cheated death 9 times; look what they did!
Not a cat, but a human... In Safranbolu district of Karabük, a citizen, after surviving numerous accidents and near-fatal incidents, began digging his own grave, believing he had "used up nine lives."
Miraç Erol, a 54-year-old father of two who retired after working for a private company in Istanbul for many years and settled in his hometown of Kuzyakaköseler village in Safranbolu in 2017 at his wife's request, has a remarkable life marked by numerous accidents and near-fatal encounters.
Erol's struggle with death began with a serious traffic accident in 2000. After a long period of hospital treatment, he returned to work. In 2005, a second traffic accident resulted in a broken spine, leaving him bedridden for about a year. After treatment, he recovered and got back on his feet, but in 2015, he was involved in a third traffic accident. Following this accident, Erol retired and settled in Safranbolu. Erol, who survived a bear attack and a fall from a cliff while hiking in his village, suffered three consecutive heart attacks in 2025.
Each time he was treated and clung to life, but most recently, he fell into a coma after being stung by bees twice within a week. After leaving the hospital, Erol made a remarkable decision, likening his experiences to "cats with nine lives," and began digging his own grave.
