Metropolitan Municipality organizes clean energy themed painting competition

Izmir Metropolitan Municipality is organizing a meaningful event to raise environmental awareness among children and draw attention to the importance of renewable energy sources. The sixth annual painting competition, titled "Wind and Sun, Integration with Clean Energy," invites middle school students across the city to engage in art and protect nature. The competition, implemented with the motto "The Energy of the Future is in Your Brush," encourages young people to reflect their imaginative, eco-friendly energy solutions onto canvas.

Students in grades 5, 6, 7, and 8 studying throughout Izmir can participate. Entries for this event, where students can showcase their talents while simultaneously raising awareness about the climate crisis, must be submitted no later than May 15, 2026. The detailed evaluation process by the jury will take place on May 20, 2026, following the submission of the works.

A special awards ceremony for the winning students will be held at the Youth Theatre on June 5, 2026. Students and parents wishing to participate in the competition can contact the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Climate Change and Clean Energy Branch Directorate for detailed information about submission procedures and competition rules. Applications can be submitted in person at the branch directorate located on the fourth floor of the IMM Zeytinlik Additional Service Building in Emir Sultan Neighborhood, Konak district.
