CALF and Nippon Car have forged an alliance to promote the energy transition in Neuquén

The CALF cooperative and the Nippon Car company signed an agreement to launch the program “Neuquén energy, mobility and community”, an initiative that links training, infrastructure and technology to promote the energy transition and sustainable development in the province.
The CALF cooperative and the dealership Nippon Car signed an agreement to launch the “Neuquén Energy, Mobility, and Community” program, an initiative aimed at accelerating the energy transition and promoting sustainable development in the province.

CALF and Nippon Car Drive the Energy Transition

The agreement, signed this Friday at the cooperative's headquarters, was led by CALF President Marcelo Severini and Nippon Car's Managing Partner, Edgardo Aguirre. It will have an initial duration of twelve months and will seek to generate “a tangible impact on the Neuquén community” through joint actions in energy, sustainable mobility, technical training, and social inclusion.
The program envisions the design, implementation, and evaluation of projects in which CALF will contribute its expertise in energy infrastructure, while Nippon Car will contribute knowledge in mobility and automotive technology, as well as technical, logistical, and financial resources.
Among the main lines of action are training programs in trades related to renewable energy and hybrid and electric vehicles. “The idea is to continue connecting with the community through smart solutions,” said Florencia Quiroga, the cooperative's finance and renewable energy manager.

For his part, Aguirre emphasized the importance of the agreement: “We have outlined a series of objectives and a work plan that will allow us to give back to the community some of what it has given us.”

The plan will be organized around two central pillars. First, it will promote training and a culture of energy transition through technical workshops and open sessions. Second, it will focus on developing high-impact infrastructure, such as electric vehicle charging corridors, urban solar power stations, and support programs for volunteer firefighters, in addition to technical and educational competitions.

The initiative will have a Management Unit responsible for coordinating actions, monitoring indicators, and ensuring the achievement of objectives. Both institutions will share responsibility for project implementation and communication of activities.
