Thousands of people mobilized in Comodoro Rivadavia to demand justice for the death of Ángel López , the four-year-old boy whose death is being investigated by the Justice system as a possible homicide.
The demonstration brought together family members, neighbors, and friends who marched from the main square to the local prosecutor's office amidst an atmosphere of profound shock. During the protest, demonstrators chanted slogans against the judicial authorities and demanded that the case be solved.

“Let’s not shift the focus,” said Lorena Andrade, the boy’s stepmother, who pointed the finger at the biological mother, Mariela Altamirano, and her partner, Maicon González, stating that the child “died in the care of those people.”
Both are charged in the case, while the investigation proceeds under the direction of prosecutor Cristian Olazábal, who is seeking to determine the origin of the injuries detected on the child's head.
The main hypotheses being considered by the prosecution
The prosecutor's office indicated that there are three main lines of investigation. One of them considers the possibility of sudden death, although they acknowledge the difficulty in precisely establishing its cause.
Another hypothesis points to a previous undiagnosed pathology, such as a respiratory, infectious or cardiac condition.
However, the strongest theory is that of a violent death, which could lead to charges of aggravated homicide if the involvement of third parties is proven.
Meanwhile, Altamirano and González are under house arrest with police monitoring to prevent them from leaving the city. At the same time, investigators are analyzing the cell phones seized during the raids and continuing to take statements from those close to them.
